Investment Banking
TrueNorth is
a leading advisor to companies and investors in the middle and
lower-middle market. Although there are many definitions of the
"middle market", we generally serve companies with revenues
and transaction values of less than $500 million and in many cases
less than $100 million.
In this traditionally
underserved marketplace, TrueNorth's senior investment banking
professionals provide the sophisticated financial advice
and professionalism of larger full service investment banks, but
with the humility and modesty of a true client partner. We differentiate
ourselves as follows:
Senior Delivery Model
- Our professionals have spent their careers serving middle-market
clients. As with other boutique advisors, we have a senior delivery
model. However, unlike most former bulge bracket advisors, we
are dedicated to the day to day and hour to hour counsel required
by middle market clients without large corporate development functions
or teams of analysts at their disposal.
Client Service Focus
- All corporate advisory firms have a vested interest in completing
a transaction which may in some cases, present a fundamental conflict
with a client's best interests. Many of our professionals have backgrounds
in public accounting and have been serving the Merger and Acquisition
needs of Asian corporations, for whom long-term trusted relationships
are paramount. This skill set and ingrained philosophy puts the
interest of the client ahead of all other considerations.
Practical Advice -
TrueNorth's
advisors present clear strategic options that are driven by logical
and practical alternatives for implementation.
Experience, Experience, Experience
- Our senior bankers have completed more than 250 corporate advisory
assignments in their careers, all for middle-market clientele.
From cross-border acquisitions, to leveraged buy-outs, public
and private transactions, private equity sponsored companies,
private family owned companies, ESOPs and divisional spin-offs
to refinancings, fairness opinions and valuations for accounting, estate or other purposes, there are very few issues that have not been
encountered and addressed multiple times in past transactions.
Corporate Advisory Services
Our corporate advisory business
provides confidential, strategic, tactical and negotiating advice
to middle market clients that are private, public or private-equity
owned. Our clients are typically considering a strategic transaction
(acquisition or divestiture), are seeking to grow or restructure
their business. They are often in need of capital to support those
efforts or interested in understanding the value of their private
business or their capital markets strategic options. Given our
focus on the middle market and lower middle market, many of our
clients are unfamiliar with the issues and complexities of the
typical add-on acquisition, raising capital or how to maximize the value of their
most important asset in a divestiture. |
